Red61 is a successful Edinburgh-based software company that produces the market leading VIA Ticketing System. The company also delivers ticketing services and consultancy, providing solutions to festivals, events, venues and ticket agencies around the world. VIA has been designed to effortlessly manage high volume ticket sales for festivals, venues and multi-site ticketing networks.VIA’s unique structure enables different arts and ticketing organisations to easily sell tickets for each other across multiple channels. Its scalability, flexibility and ability to be used in many differing environments make it an outstanding solution for all types of arts and live event venues and networks. VIA has minimal systems requirements and is easily downloadable from a web page. It can be used from a single terminal sales point right up to multi-terminal box offices across different sites both within the one company and across associated, cross-selling organisations, incorporating counter, phone and web/mobile sales and self-service collection points.

Red61 provides software and services to arts and live event organisations across the UK as well as in Australia, Abu Dhabi, Belgium, Canada, Ireland and South Africa. For our largest project, VIA processes 1.8 million tickets for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the largest arts festival in the World. We designed, build and maintain the largest citywide ticketing network in the UK with more than 40 sites. We also manage the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society box office, one of the largest ticketing operations in the UK, hiring more than 80 staff and Red61 manages the Society’s IT infrastructure across the whole organisation.
