The HR Coordinator will provide structure to, and deliver, HR and People activities to ensure we are all in the best position to continuously innovate in graphene-based applications.

This role is offered with full flexibility, and the role will be offered part-time, the exact details of the days and hours worked can be agreed. Hybrid working is welcome.

Where we are

We are primarily based in Stirling in central Scotland, a small city with rich historical significance. As well as being historic, Stirling is in a great position for quick access to Edinburgh and Glasgow by public transport. It also has easy to access to the Highlands and rural Scotland.


Who are we looking for

  • Experience as an HR Assistant with coordination responsibilities (essential).

  • Exposure to UK employment law

  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.

  • Exposure to payroll practices.

  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.

  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.

  • Fantastic organisational and time management skills.

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.


Qualifications and experience based skills

  • HND/Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management and/or CIPD qualification to level 5

  • Knowledge in UK Visa and Immigration Services is desirable

  • Recruiting and retaining in specialist skill areas (technical, scientific or academic) is desirable

  • Demonstrable experience in supporting change (policies, organisational behavioural expectations and use of systems)

Your purpose in the role

What you will do and how you will succeed

  • Using our core values and putting this into onboarding and everyday experience for our people

  • Work alongside the People and Programme Manager to deliver departmental Key Results alongside the day-to-day HR activities:
    o Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
    o Ensure compliance with employee record-keeping and data privacy requirement
    o Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
    o Assist with performance management procedures.
    o Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
    o Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
    o Coordinate the roll out of new initiatives or processes
    o Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
    o Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
