The Role

This is a rare opportunity to join a technology firm at the start of its journey to commercialise what is predicted to be the most disruptive technology breakthrough of the decade. Integrated Graphene are looking for an experienced, ambitious and autonomous Business Development Manager to join their commercial team to take full ownership and drive their biosensor development service revenues. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, contact, and secure new business opportunities for customer projects for Integrated Graphene’s suite of biosensor development services within human diagnostics.

  • Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales and move multiple transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline.

  • Manage and track customer interaction and transactional information in a CRM system.

  • Draw up commercial business contracts including but not limited to: research service work, supply and license, and distribution agreements.

  • Work seamlessly with marketing to ensure content is frequently updated to accurately portray our range of services within the relevant markets.

  • Coordinate with R&D, finance, operations, and logistic departments where appropriate

  • Think strategically to continually seek to improve upon and increase the business offering based on market intelligence and customer engagement.

  • Travel to attend face to face meetings and conferences as appropriate.

  • Report and self-analyse progress to the Chief Commercial Officer as required.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A proactive solution focused, positive personality who is continually seeking to improve performance and operations.

  • Ability to proactively deliver a new business strategy and actions in a fast-paced environment.

  • 5+ years B2B experience within a technology / scientific company within life sciences, ideally selling to medical diagnostic companies.

  • Strong competency in delivering creative solutions to overcome customer objections and ability to negotiate mutually beneficial commercial contracts.

  • Demonstrable experience of meeting and exceeding service work revenue targets and successful contract management.

  • Existing network of life science R&D professionals & CxO’s is desirable.

  • Ability to work across market verticals is desirable.

  • Experience of using the CRM HubSpot is desirable.
